Ldm students will be debating the following topic:
Should original artworks be replaced with copies in order to slow down the deterioration processes?
Students will be divided into two teams of four students. Each team will have 15 minutes (questions from the public included) to convince the public to vote in favour of their arguments. The winning team will receive a voucher to spend on conservation books published by Nardini Editori. Moderator: Professor Beate Klingenberg, Supervisor Science School, Lorenzo de’ Medici Institute.
The organizers of the Bastioni Debates want to thanks the students for their participation as well as the Lorenzo de’Medici Institute for their help and cooperation. We hope the debate will be both enjoyable and constructive as well as an opportunity for students to refine their argumentative skills which indeed require a breadth of knowledge, conviction and humour
